I loved the destiny is calling portion also but after 30 seconds it was gone. That is the portion I would like to know about. I want more of Sam and his surroundings rather than time travel to Egypt, explosions and coming back from the dead. Hit me with some more real life.

Re: Transformers, Money Makers In Disguise

I agree with the Average viewer part, the crowd I sat with was a large geek crowd. They were all excited at the opening credits. I am not mocking the movie at all, but for me I probably will even pass on buying the Blu-Ray for this one. Its a watch once for me.

Re: Transformers, Money Makers In Disguise

Well, I have already seen it 3 times and I will probably see it a bunch more times. This movie rocked!! I loved #1, but this one is just fabulous (although the twins were annoying sometimes). I thought the robots transforming would lose its glow after the first movie... but when Ironside transforms right at the start, I got goose bumps. Yes, it is a Michael Bay film with lots of explosions and loud action, but I really laughed a lot also. The audiences today are too jaded if they think this is 'nothing special'. Sam tries to be a normal college student, but he is destined for bigger things. I love that hint of destiny callling and for me, the movie was magical...

Re: Transformers, Money Makers In Disguise

in my opinion, watching this movie at the midnight premiere was the best experience ive ever had at a theater. u can critique all u want about the "simple" plot, and the overuse of explosions, but truth is that kids these days simply dont care about a films substance. movie critics can emphasize points, such as the use of " in racism and stereotypes, in the twin robots, but people were walking out of the theater proclaiming skids and mudflap were their favorite robots.

point blank, movie critics claim its the worst movie evermade, and there where was to much use of cgi effect,

but ask the average viewer, and they would tell u REVENGE OF THE FALLEN DELIVERS!!!

robots, explosions, humor, romance, and megan fox/sex, (the very thing critics believe make this movie terrible) are the ingredients needed to make a movie smash box office records.

Re: Transformers, Money Makers In Disguise

It was far from awesome Jason, while I do agree with you on the audience I saw it with, the film was on par with the first. Nothing special, a bunch of ILM and some explosions. shave 45 minutes off and maybe it would of been a good film.

Re: Transformers, Money Makers In Disguise

As far as audiences go, the audience I saw Revenge of the Fallen with loved the movie. Everyone laffed, cried, cheered, etc throughout the film.
A good many were talking about seeing the film again. It's 2007 all over again, most critics slammed the movie, most moviegoers enjoyed it.
I thought the film was AWESOME, not perfect, but a blast and lots of fun.
